How ClickToPost works
ClickToPost helps licensed real-estate agents at participating brokerages (beta: Intercity Realty Inc., Brokerage) share their brokerage's MLS® listings on their own social media accounts, with the required brokerage and agent attribution added automatically.
Who uses it
Registered agents (salespersons and brokers) invited by their brokerage. It is not a consumer app.
How it works
- Listings come in. New and updated listings for the brokerage are received from the TRREB/PropTx data feed (IDX) or brokerage listing emails.
- Posts are prepared. For each listing ClickToPost drafts a post for each platform (text, photos, link to a public listing page) including the agent's name and the brokerage's legal name, as required by RECO advertising rules.
- The agent chooses. Each agent picks, per platform, either approve first (nothing is published until they review and press Publish) or auto-post (posts publish on a schedule they set, with filters for property type, area and price). Agents can pause, edit or delete at any time.
- Agents who don't connect accounts receive emails with one-click "post this" links and copy-ready text.
Connecting social accounts
Agents connect accounts through each platform's official sign-in and consent screen ("Continue with Facebook", "Sign in with LinkedIn", "Sign in with X", "Login with TikTok"). We never see or store social passwords. We store only the access tokens the platform issues, encrypted, and use them only to publish the posts the agent has approved or scheduled.
| Platform | What we post to | Permissions used |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Pages the agent manages (not personal profiles) | pages_show_list, pages_manage_posts, pages_read_engagement | |
| Instagram professional (business/creator) accounts linked to the agent's Page | instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish | |
| The agent's own member profile | openid, profile, w_member_social | |
| X | The agent's X account | tweet.read, tweet.write, users.read, media.write, offline.access |
| TikTok | The agent's TikTok account — listing photo carousels or slideshow videos, always reviewed by the agent before posting | user.info.basic, video.publish |
Disconnecting
Agents can disconnect any platform from My profile, revoke access in the platform's own settings, or request deletion (see Data Deletion).
